2. Bài luận và đoạn văn tham khảo

In general, what are your impressions of life at University? In what ways is life better here (or worse) than in high school?

AN1: I think there are three impressions of life at university. First one is we have complete freedom to choose the courses. Whereas, it is very different from high school. In high school we have to take every class whether we like or not. In addition, this can help me to arrange my schedule and I will have free time to get a part-time job.
Second one is the way of giving lessons. At college every professors has their own methods and ideas to teach us. Some of them use PPT and ask students to hand in their assignments through the Internet. What’s more, some schools will divide student into smaller classes in which we are required to involve ourselves in discussion.
The last one is we don’t need to uniform anymore but it really bothers me. Because i have to decide which clothes I’m going to wear and it takes me a lot of time.
In conclusion, at university I become more independent, learn how to look after myself, and let my life have more fun. University provides me a whole new world and a new beginning as well.

AN2: The life in university is free because I take the courses that I am interested in. Often, in high school, I have to take all kinds of courses and some of them may bother me much. Take math classes for instant, no matter how hard I try to gain a higher grade, I usually end up in vain. As an English-majored student, I can totally get away with math classes. That was really a relief for me.

However, free as the life of college is, the responsibilities weigh more heavier than I imagine. Sometimes, I am too tired to concentrate on classes and even think of skipping classes. But when the messages come up ing my mind, I have to think the pros anf cons. Is it worthy to do that rather than to go to classes? If I were a high school student, I would have no choices. Whether I like the courses or not, I have to learn all of them.

All in all, college life is a good discipline for learning to be self-control. Most of the schedules are arranged by myself and thus there are no excuses for me to skip it. I even realize the impact of attitude. Very often, good attitude contributes to success which is the most important course that I have to acquire.

AN3: Years ago, my high school classmate recommended me to select School of International Education, Hanoi University of Science and Technology because of better score of English. The scores of other subjects are worse to enter this university. Therefore, I worked so hard that most of my memories in high school are studying, studying, studying. After I entered the university, I had much fun in university. To sum up, there are three differences between university and high school are the way of studying, the patterns of getting along with classmates and costume.

In high school, the way of studying is that I have to study everything even I don’t like to. I was not talented in math; however, I had to study hard because to enter a university math is necessary. Nevertheless, the way of studying in university is choosing what my favorites. If I don’t want to touch anything about math, I could select the course without them. Besides, in university, learning equals to responsibility. Nobody force me to do so.
The second difference is the patterns of getting along with classmates. In high school, there are many activities. We have to be united to win every contest. In university, because of different classes, classmates are separated. Therefore, I was not familiar with everyone. Hence, I get less “hearted” fiends in university than in high school.

Third, “costume.” To tell the truth, I’m worried about the clothes I should dress every day. In high school, there are the kinds of so-called “uniform.” In that time, I didn’t have to think much about appearance. However, in university, I have to arrange clothes that would be suited to my status, my age. It is so hard!

There are both sides of one thing, so are my two periods of school life. However, all I can do is studying happier because they were my choices and are required in my life.

AN4: The thing most impressed me was that I moved out from home and lived at the place I rent. It was the first time I lived without my parent, I felt no feers but excited. Living along was a good oppertunity and important period to train myself, as I have said, I lived by my own so I have to be extremely careful in taking care of my living. I felt quite proud of myself to become independent at such a short time.

University and high school are totally different from each other. Until I got into the university, I knew nothing about freedom. How exaggerated it was. In high school, most of us were bounded in hair, dress code even our thought. Compared with high school, university was more free and democratic. Though high school was kind of boring but it still had some cute places that I really missed. One was my lovely friends. I missed them so much when I was a freshman because making true friends was a little bit hard in college. Another was: we just have to stayed in the particular class room and waited teacher coming in to begin the class.

I missed high school but I love college because getting into university making me realise what kind of people I was and forced me to consider about my future. When I became a freshman, I was surrounded by strangers everyday. At that time I suffered from feeling lonesome and didn’t know what I was going to do in this school. I lost myself for a little while and found myself back after I started making new friends. Ultimately, I just wanted to say getting into university made better me.

AN5: University is a different stage in my life and there are many impressive things. First, when I was a fresh man, I worried about what to wear everyday because we do not have to wear unform anymore in college. I think some people like me wanted to get rid of this invariable uni-form when we were in high school period. All we wanted was to add some colors on our cloth at that time. But now, it becomes a thing which bothers me. It seems that too many choices are not a good thing.

The second thing which impresses me is I make a lot of friends. Before I entered in university, I wondered if I could accept the life because it is different from high school. New place, new course, new people, new life and so on which make me feel uneasy. In contrast to these, high school seems simple and pure. But, things are not worse than what I think. I am used to the life in university and also make lots of friends now. Everything is alright. Although my university life is better, I still have a little bit anxiety. When I become a college student, I know that I am an adult and I have to take responsibility to myself. I have to think more. But now, all I want to think is make my college life colorful.

AN6: University gave me many opportunities in meeting different kinds of people, my social life still not very splendid. I think social life in high school is more interesting than university. There were two points for explain why I said. The first is study the university, everybody has more free time to arrange their schedule, most part of people choose to have a part-time job or attend clubs. Most of friends found a free time to get together is not a easy thing. The second is university lessons range is loose, some friends even didn’t see each other few times in a week. Although university life can’t give me as much as fun than senior high school life, university life still stand I have to prepare more responsibility and mature than senior high.

AN7: My university lifes is so interesting. There are many activities in our school life, such as freshmen singing, university anniversary and drama contest. By the way, I always go to travel with my classmates on summer and spring vocation.

My classmates and I was prepares these activities so work hard. Especially, one of my classmates was leader. She always prepared those than everyone, however, just spend her times so much. She didn’t gave up. we always supported her to prepared those. Of cause, we got the champion in any activities.

I’m so likes travel with my classmates. These travel usually that I planed its. I always spend many times to find the infotmations of the trips. Therefore, my mates always very enjoy those trips.

AN8: At the beginning of life in college, I felt everything is fresh, new environment, new teachers, new friends,,,, . But actually, independence is important, I have to do everything by myself, no matter washing clothes, cleaning my room, buying dinner but not by mother cooking. Even though It’s free to live outside, for me, home is the most comfortable place.

Life goes on, now I’m senior, I experienced many things. I’ve learned how to make friends with people, how to be independence, how to solve problems with optimistic view, how to cooperate with teammate and how to work for everything…

The most impression thing is must the welcome camping, because we held this activity for few months, and we did make many efforts. We arranged activities, created fun games, and had a fantastic evening party for all of the lower classman.

It’s true the welcome camp is successful! All of us were touched at last day, I have never been so touched and felt the sense of success, I’ve glad to join this activity, I did learn a lot, especially I practice to learn dance for this welcome camp, It’s maybe one of the special things in my life.

However, time passed by, do I like my college life? Absolutely yes! I love my college life, It’s better than high school more, I find myself , I learn new things that I couldn’t learn in high school, I appreciate people I met in college life, because of them, I become better and better.

AN9: What is the most different thing in my colleague? I think is the time we learning. In my colleague we have lots of activities every year. Like drama contrast, hallowing party etc…… Our students are enjoying in it, in other word means that we haven’t much time in our studying or spend less time on it.

When I was a high school student, the life in school is bored and busy. We had lots of exam every day, and we study hard for the entrance exam. We had class and exam everyday and the life are crowded with answer sheet. We didn’t have time for extracurricular activities. The only thing we to do are learning.

Although the life at university is more colorful than high school, but the time we spent on studies is less. There are all kinds of activities there, and no one will push you to study.

You have to learn by yourself, if you don’t do that, you might be flunked.

Life at high school is bored, but it’s the best time we learning. Although there is less fun than in colleague, we can pay more attention in school. I think the life in high school is better than colleague.

An10: University is a place of freedom and full of diversification. High school, to be honest, is a place full of pressure with a dull life. Somehow you must pass through the sufferings in highschool then you can go to the college.

The first impression of university for me is that I’m a college student now, I can decide something on my own and no one will tell me what am I going to do next. I have to be responsible to myself. I’m a grownup now I have to decided my future. I have to say that I’m lucky to meet a group of guys as my best friends for these three years. We laugh together, work together, study toghter and help the department together. This is the experience I’ve never had in my highschool life. In addition, I was quite a shy boy in the past, but my conscious tell me that I’m not a shy boy at all. I can be an extrovert person. So my personality had changed in my freshman year and my point of view to everything had turn into a bright side.

My college life is better than highschool. I met differnet people from differnet area. My life is no longer full of exames. I’ll say the life in here will be memoriable in the future. My friends, keep on the good work!

An11: I have so many impressions of life in my school when I become a university student. One is the getting more freedom for myself. As I was a high school student, I couldn’t go anywhere od do anything if my mother didn’t say “yes”. She was a strict person whom I was scared. However, she has a totally different attitude now that is so surprused to me. I gain more authorities to decide what I want to do, furthermore, she also values my decision and approves it.

Another one is the making lots of different friends. In class, there are many classmates who come from different parts of the cities or countryside. Culture in those places differ greatly, so we can share the interesting things in our life before we enter to the university. Everyone also has the diddimilar personality which let me know how I want to get along well with them. I really hope that I can possess a wide circle of friends in my college life.

The other one is the doing part time job. It was my first time which I tryed to find a work. The wok was that I had to teach English to the elementary school students. I believed that I could train myself for the responsibility by this job.

AN12: Compare university with high school, I prefer the former. In high school, I have to reach school before 7:30 a.m. and listen classes from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. even to 9:00 p.m. However, I can decide my schedule by myself. Sometimes, I only have one class or no class whole day!

Second, I like university is that all activities should be held by students. It is very different than high school which all work would be held by school and students just have to follow the rules and attend them. In college, all rules and projects are devised by us.

Last but not least, English includes so many kinds. Contrast high school and college. High school only focuses on memorizing vocabularies and grammar, but is the basic skills in college. English is separated into several subjects such as literature, linguistic, and so on. This is the new thing for me.

AN13: I was thanks to I could be a college student, because I faced so many things that I ever met. The new style of studying and new ways to solved the problems. There’re some turning points that I felt I become more sensible than when I was a high school student.

First, I love my family more than before. Since I lived alone in Hanoi, I would always think of my life with my family three years ago. Actually, I used to felt repugnant to live with my parents. The reason was easy, just because I found that I have no privacy when I lived with them. Therefore, I was exciting about I can move out, but now I went home each weekend and volunteer to share my college life with my parents. I figured out that they keep nosy me that was a way they concern about me. Thus, I accepted their ways and love them more.

Next, I have a part-time job in college life. when I was high school student, I had never worried about money. Now, I have to earned the money by myself. This part made me become a frugal girl. I know how to save money and also reduce expenditure!

College life made me feel I was a useful person, and also let me know that I should take more challenges. I wish when I graguate from college, I could have a meaningful life!

AN14: There are three different impressions between high school and university. The first one is the way of studying. In high school, I studied so hard for getting good grades. Even though I had no interest in related to numbers and logic subjects, I still had to study. So, I had a lot of pressure in high school. It is totally opposite way at university. I can choose subjects depending on my interest. I like the way of studying because I no longer study for grades and have free time to join activities.

Second, high school didn’t hold activities because they thought the important thing for students was study. It was dull life for me in high school. However, activities are varied and entertaining at university. I have many special memories to recall in the future.
The last one is a sense of responsibility. Teachers took care of anything in high school. If I had any problems, I counted on teachers to solve it even I didn’t try to clear it up.
Nevertheless, how difficult the problem is, I have to solve it by myself and be responsible for myself.

In conclusion, my university life is better than high school life. I learn that life is full of fun and enjoy it. The most important thing is to be a self-responsibility person.

AN15: My impression of life at university are drama contest and the time with my best friends. Drame contest be hold on June every year. It is a big event for SIE students. Every grade, every student are excited and nervous about this competiton. Every class will write a script, select the role, rent the costume, and make some scenery. No matter what the result is, everyone will remwnber all the moments they experinced.

Another thing is that I have many good friends since I attened to college. And now, all of us are the menber of the Student Association of SIE, I do really love to work with my friends. Prepare the activities, face the problems, and figure out the solutions together. Althought , it will be the busiest time of college even in my life but I think it is worthy.

I am glad to be a college student. In BK University, this thing is really color my life. And thanks for my friends’ company, they become more important in my life.

AN16: University life is colorful and free in my impression. In my life of junior and senior high school, I have to wear uniform everyday. Our high school always inspects student’s uniforms strictly. After I entered the university, I don’t need wear any uniform at school. Compare the meal of my university with my meal of high school, the former is definitely better than the latter. I van choose what I want to eat in college now, but I had to bring lunch box or bought limited food at high school. I also have more choose at the course in university, but as a high student, I should join all of classes. These are the reasons why my impressions of university are free and colorful.

Friends and classmates are one of the most important parts of my life in University. They share us their stories about their hometown. I always interested in their stories since the funny plots. On the other hand, I make many good friends in university. They are my source of energy. Hang out with they cause a lot of funny and crazy events. And every time we recall our ridiculous and crazy behaviors, we just laugh exaggeratedly together.

My life of university is absolutely better than my life of high school. I can choose classes from hundreds of kind courses. The most important is that I don’t have to join the course which I don’t want except the required courses. My kind and honest classmates and friends are also the reason make my college life better than high-school life. I really appreciate them. Due to those reasons, I am a happy undergraduate.

AN17: Everyone has dreams to be a college student. I am no exception. In my opinion, I consider that university is a good place where I can make a lot of new friends and keep a lot of great memories. Some teachers have said that it iis difficult to pass some exams. But what I want to say is it’s all depending on your thoughts I believe their thoughts or believe what I want to believe. Now, I am a junior student. And the answer is yes. I have lots of marvelous memories and make lots of friends. I also have learned how to be a good leader to lead the group or class. At SIE, I am happy I am an 1st year student. Compared with high school, I think university is another stage to learn to be more independent. Learning how to interact with one another and having independent thinking are also what I am learning. In these ways, I believe taht life at university is better than in high school.

AN18: University is like a dream when I was a senior high. Because it means you plan your time in your own mind without taking any lessons after school like going to cream schools. In senior high school life, it is simple and mononous. All I can do is study and study. Although the life is boring, we still can have fun from ourself and have fun. However, you can have more choices of having fun in university. The club and the department activities are quite a lot. Sometimes I feel tired of having so many entertainments, I think of the years in high school. Even so, I say to myself that the world must be complicated in the follow years; therefore, I have to adapt to it.

To tell the truth, I have to say that the life is better that high school life. My life become colorful and interesting. I become acquainted with more and more people not just in school, but also out of the campus. Everyone is good at their field, and I learn from them. In a word, college life is much better than high school life.

AN19: From freshman year, I expected to meet many good friends and to participate in many activities to abound my college life. Actually, what I’ve experienced and who I’ve got along well with is my deepest impression here. The welcome party in September, I came to the party with nerve and curiosity. I just remembered some senior sisters led me to play the game. After a string of games and self-introduction led by senior sisters, we got familiar with each other. The fun this party and senior sisters brought astonished me. Everyone in college became so more active than in high school. Whereas in high school, I didn’t have many. However, I still cherished the memory with my good friends in high school. We a couple boys ordered the lunch by making phone calls and took turns bringing them back by pokers games. Although I can freely now eat anything for lunch with friends at any time, I may still get tired of thinking about what to eating every day. All in all, I reminisce good time in high school but I cherish good time in SIE.

My University Life

I will tell you about my university life now. I go to the university every day. My university life is very busy but I enjoy it very much. There are a lot of happy and hard things in my university life. But I like the university very much because there are a lot of reasons.

First of all, I will tell you about my studying English. The environment is very good because there are a lot of good teachers and friends in this university. I have a lot of classes such as Japanese history, American literature, psychology, a teacher training course and so on. I am interested in them. And I study English hard every day. It is so difficult for me to learn them. In addition I have to do my homework and write a report. So I am very busy now, but I do my best.

Second of all, I will tell you about my friends. There are a lot of friends in the university. I can meet them every day. They are very kind to me. I can enjoy talking with them. For example, my favorite things, food, love, studying and so on. To talk them makes me happy. I am always laughing when I talk with them. I have lunch with them every day. When I was trouble, they help me. At first, I was worried whether I can make friends. Because there are a lot of people who I didn’t know. But we made friends soon. I was very glad to make friends them.

Finally, I will tell you about the institutions. At first, I was very surprised because this university is larger than I expected. There are a lot of good institutions in the university. For example, library, a student’s dining hall, bakery and so on. They are very comfortable because there are air conditioners. My favorite place in the university is bakery. There are many kind of bread are sold. For example, bagel, curry bun, melon bun, pizza and so on. I often go there to buy lunch. They are delicious. Recently new loaves are sold. I have never eaten them so I want to try them. I also like library because I can read a lot of books, magazines and newspapers. And I can do some research by various things. I often go to the library when I don’t have a class. Whenever I go there, I do my homework or study English. The library is comfortable so I can concentrate in there. Also, I can watch DVD in the library. Recently, I am busy so I don’t watch DVD. I want to DVD if I had a lot of time.

As you can see, I enjoy my university life now. I am living a comfortable life. I want to study hard more and I want to enjoy my university life. I don’t want to regret my life. I want to make a lot of good memories before I graduate from the university. I want to be an English teacher in the future. So I will do my best for the dream in my university life.
